The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has identified the qualifications that would determine the presidential candidate it will support in the 2023 election.
AYCF National President, Yerima Shettima, said the group would pick its presidential candidate based on competency and experience.
He said AYCF would not consider the region, zone, or tribe in deciding the presidential candidate to work with.
Judging by the antecedents of the character Arewa Youths are willing to work with, They have not made an official statement regarding who they will work with but they will do that soon.
Region and where a candidate comes from won’t count in this coming election; we won’t be favorable to the zone, tribe, or religion this time around.”
No fewer than 18 candidates are contesting in the 2023 presidential election.
The candidates are from the All Progressives Congress, APC, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Labour Party, Accord Party, Action Alliance, African Action Congress, and African Democratic Congress.
Others are Action Democratic Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, Allied People’s Movement, Action Peoples Party, Boot Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, National Rescue Movement, Peoples Redemption Party, Social Democratic Party, Young Progressives Party, and Zenith Labour Party.
