The departmental election of Mass Communication Students Association(MACSA) of Lagos State University of Science And Technology(LASUSTECH) which took place on October 4, 2022 was a success as all the aspirants from HND1 of the great department won the respective posts they aspired for.
Most of the HND 1 aspirants won the election without stress as they were unopposed. The presidential candidate is Oluwafifehanmi Olamilekan Olatunji, Idowu Hannah Temitope is the Lady Vice, Adebiyi Yetunde Abimbola as the General Secretary while Oduola Oyindamola is the Welfare Director. However other post like that of the Social Director, Financial Secretary, Vice President and the Assistant General Secretary had opposing candidates.

Samuel Igbinoba Osamudiamen won as the Social Director against Okolie Vincent Sunday with 297 votes, Fasasi Azeez Boluwatife won as the Financial Secretary against Abdulquadri Shuaib with 297 votes, Oguntoye Mariam Shalewa won as the Vice President’s against Tokosi Taofikat with 234 votes, while Ibrahim Aishat Arike won as the Assistant General Secretary against her fellow class mate Amodu Adiza Omowunmi with 236.
The newly elected Social Director Samuel igbinoba Osamudiamen pka Sammy and all other other aspirants that won against their opponents showed their appreciation to the students and promised to fulfill the promises they made during their manifestoes.
The election went smoothly as the students of the department showed participation, support, and corporation during the election.
